The food at Salt & Pepper was great. We read we should make a reservation, but at the last minute we decided to give it a try anyway. We only got a table because around 3 tables with reservations did not show up (their loss)! According to the owner that is unfortunately common and not very nice because they end up sending many people back because of reservations. So if you cannot show up, it'd be quite nice to give them a heads up, as the place is small. Although you will find 11pm as closing time, kitchen is closed at around 10pm. We had bread (with a very good eggplant spread), the seafood salad and the linguini with shrimp. The food was very fresh and we loved the seasoning. Dessert was their treat: chocolate mousse!

We made a last minute reservation our first night in Santorini. I messaged them on Facebook and luckily, we got a table for that night. It was so pleasant when they recognized that I booked the reservation and greeted me by name!! The food was delicious, and the service was incredible!! Irene even put some treatment on my back when she noticed I had a bug bite.We came to eat here twice over a three day visit to the island. Would highly recommend!! (Be sure to make a reservation!)

This is one of those restaurants we would probably not have tried had we just been passing by! Like many other occasions in other countries, we have used TA and trusted reviews. It is essential to book a table here, when we ate there the first time, there were more people turned away than arrived!
The tomato fritters (like onion bhajis but with tomato) and the cheese parcels with tomato marmalade to start were delicious. The seafood pasta and the meatballs as a main were equally good as is the squid and the lamb chops. Portion sizes are generous!
Irene, the co-owner is a delight and will welcome you with open arms even on your first visit!

As other reviewers have said, don’t go to this place if you want a sunset view, it is inside only at night and it is basic but very authentic.

The waitress was cranky and complaining. The salad was salty. The only good thing was a complimentary ice cream cone as dessert

Lovely food, plenty of it and great value for money. Charming eccentric host to boot! They even threw in a free dessert... eat here.
