Stopped at the winery on the way home from a visit to Ithaca and was pleasantly surprised by this great little cafe. Thought it was a snack bar at first but was blown away by the high end menu choices. Kim Chi Fries were the highlight. - Unique and full of flavor. Offers outside seating and a visit from the friendly vineyard dogs. Very relaxing atmosphere. Even if you don’t like wine, this cafe is worth the trip by itself.

I’d never eaten here before, but I dare say this is one of the weirdest places I’ve ever eaten. The servers were confused about who was responsible for our table. One brought water, other came for beverage order. Water waitress returns for drink order. Told her we ordered beer already. She takes food order. Then beverage waiter comes for food order. Kind of funny. Not bad, just made me laugh. Kind of like their first day in the business.
Food came and was good enough. Quesadilla appetizer was ok. Just a bit flavorless. Salt helped. I had a Reuben. Good enough, but side of fries came with a small cup of ketchup-like stuff. It is OK to be artsy-fartsy, but is that really synonymous with not having ketchup in a bottle?? In the end, I guess it’s supposed to be a trendy place. Accordingly it is overpriced for what you get. I’d eat there again if the situation presented itself, but I wouldn’t go a mile out of my way to do so.

We sat outside on the patio which was festively decorated for Fall. Nice vibes. Service was good. We got the kimchi fries which were heavy but very tasty. We also got the mac n cheese special that had jalapeno and pork belly-- it was good, but a little disappointing as we thought there would be more jalapeno and pork belly actually baked into the mac rather than a few pieces of each just laid on top. We didn't save room for dessert, otherwise would have like to try the apple crisp!

We were surprised to have such a wonderful lunch at this little café at the Americana Winery. The décor is sort of retro with fifties style kitchen tables and chairs. Staff was really nice and helpful with the menu. The food was fabulous - try the soup, the Cuban and grilled cheese sandwiches. They also serve beer, and wine, of course. Lively crowd, well worth the trip.

On a mother-daughter trip to upstate New York, we discovered the Americana Winery, and Crystal Lake Cafe. We had a wonderfully welcoming experience in the solidly packed tasting room, followed by a fantastic meal on the huge porch at the cafe.

It was like a big party. The food was casual, Homemade, and tasty. The staff was top notch, friendly and helpful, and the prices were great. Our party of three had a full bottle of wine, three entrees, and coffee, for under $70 after tax and tip.

Highly recommend as part of a wine tour, or just for a fun night out.
