We were just in for dinner last weekend and had the greatest experience. The bar room is beautiful. We waited to be sat and ordered a few drinks from the bartender Sean, being a bourbon person he crafted me the best drink I ever had. Megan order a glass of white wine and they easily transferred it to our table with out us even asking .

We sat at table near the window and we instantly greeted with a smile and water service. sparkling or still. what a touch of class. Our server was amazing! she guide us threw the menu with ease made suggestions that fit our palettes very well. You must try the fresh oysters, and the crab dip. Wow.

Ericka then made incredible wine pairing for our main course I had the trout and Meg had the tavern steak. We had to share it was too good .

Our dessert choices Chocolate bar and banana cream pie were our the top. French press coffee to the table 1/ 2 or a full press was an added touch you don't see in many places.

We ended up back at the bar with Sean sipping a Papa Van Winkle 15 yr .

We spoke to Sarah the Guest Services Manager and booked a suite for her birthday . She was lovely. Her and Megan chatted about local art and hot spots.
To the entire staff at at WM Farmers and Sons it like was going dinner with friends

Stayed at Wm. Farmer for the weekend, and went to the restaurant for brunch on Saturday morning. We had a great round farm-style table for 6 people, and our servers were super nice and efficient. We all had the brunch burger, and then got an order of the fried french toast with blueberry compote for the table. Everything was delicious! Would definitely eat here again.

It is a heavy menu, and if you don't order carefully you'll leave feeling like a stuffed goose. Me, rich crab dip, a burger, and then banana cream pie. Oy. But that's on me. Our dishes were well-executed and thought through. This isn't high cuisine but then it doesn't try to be, and you can see that the chef puts effort into conceptualizing and executing the burger, the steak, the fish, the shrimp . . . . The room is warm and inviting, and was busy the three nights we were there (the other 2 just for drinks as we were staying in the hotel). Service was very good and attentive. This is a well run operation. We enjoyed hanging in the bar the other 2 nights after dining elsewhere.

This charming spot has it all: friendly staff, great atmosphere, delicious food and tasty drinks. We enjoyed a leisurely brunch in advance of our friend's train back to the City (the train station is a 3-minute walk); the diverse menu had something for each of our widely-varied preferences, including a vegetarian. We look forward to our next visit.

First the good: the space is lovely and alluring. The food, alas, doesn't come close. Each dish was like a sentence with too many adjectives--desperately in need of an editor. The hamburger, for example, came on a thick brioche bun, easily double the thickness of the unimpressive beef. On top, was a mess of overcooked and greasy onions. One appetizer, burrata atop some squash, had similar trouble. The burrata, which had come out of cold-storage was nearly tasteless in stark contrast to the squash, which assaultively spiced with a mixture of herbs. I like bold and imaginative cooking, but this struck me as the work of an chef who has no sense of balance.
