We've eaten here several times and looked forward to a return visit. It was a quiet night inside with only one other table occupied in the dining room where we were seated. Our server should not have been overwhelmed. She was unfriendly and cold from the start. She brought us a basket of cold bread and we ordered wine, a salad and a flatbread appetizer. They took a very long time to arrive, but were fresh and tasty. While waiting for our first course, we ordered our meals. We were worried everything would arrive together, but our dinners took EVEN longer to be served. We had a nicely cooked strip steak with veggies of the day and special seafood ravioli. Both were very good. We saw our server only once during our meal and when she tossed the dessert menus on the table-not even asking if we were interested or wanted anything else. She returned sometime later and we requested two desserts to go and our check simultaneously. It's very unfortunate when the service ruins what should have been a nice evening out. In truth, every career choice is customer service based, in some way, and every job should be performed professionally, no matter what your mood or other issues. I emailed the restaurant about our experience directly. We were upset and disappointed and thought they should be aware. One of the owners responded very quickly and apologized, offering to make things better on our next visit. Much appreciated, but we won't be back with so many other great options in Hudson.
