I had my thoughts about it when I saw the menu, I was there for breakfast. Boy am I glad I sat down, it couldn't be any nicer, we were treated as if we were family and treated we were. We left our decision making to the chef. She takes a collection of well selected items from a hand picked group of suppliers ( she has done her research) and a few of her own creations , and treats you to a collection of board served delights you would spend hours finding and making. I wont go into what they were as it changes every week, oh yea hurry as it end this coming weekend for the summer What a pity.

Appealing selection of small dishes and simply exceptional coffee from Strongtree Roasters. Best espresso I have ever enjoyed! Love the gallery and the charming owners - and their gorgeous, lovable dog, Emma!

We drove up from Nothern N.J. and after strolling the many fine stores on Warren St. In Hudson we capped our visit off with a stop at J. Damian's Gallery. If your a lover of Antipasti Classico (Salumi & Cheese), good wine and exceptional photographs, go to J. Damiani Gallery. Joan and Gigi are what makes it all work. Gigi has assembled the perfect combination of italian appetizers that pair exceptionally well with the red and white wines that are available in either a full or half pour.

As Gigi told us, Joan is the life force of the gallery. Like myself, she is all Sicilian and proud of it. Her strength and commitment to her art shines through no matter what angle you look at it. The images that are currently on display are of barns within a 20 mile radius of her home in the Hudson Valley. If your looking for artwork to hang in your home, any one of Joan's images would be a worthwhile addition. When we were there, we were treated to an added bonus of also viewing Joan's images from Italy, which are on display in the 2nd floor gallery. Truly superior work.

Joan and Gigi are amazing people who have created an amazing gallery. I feel fortunate to have met both of them and to have experienced their hospitality.

Sincerely, John, Lynn and Karen

App.eritivi is one of the newest and most unique eateries in Hudson. Nestled inside of an art gallery, this spot offers authentic Italian fare and a menu which changes each week. Hand sliced salami, fish, and cheese pair nicely with the selections of fine wines by the glass and Italian craft beers. Enjoying a meal surrounded by wonderful local art creates a wonderful ambiance inside, but they also offer outdoor garden seating as well as seating at a few tables on the sidewalk if you'd rather experience lively Warren St. while you eat. Seriously, if you're in the area, don't miss out on App.eritivi.

App.eritivi opened recently in one of our favorite galleries in Hudson and we were anxious to try it. Joan and Juliette are both Italophiles so it's not a wonder that what is featured here are Italian specialties and wines, all delicious. First let me start by saying that App.eritivi is not a restaurant in the traditional sense of the word, it's more tapas with small plates as opposed to full meals. Having said that it is the PERFECT spot to visit before taking in a performance at any one of the many conveniently close venues such as the Hudson Opera House, Helsinki Hudson, Stageworks and more.

The menu changes weekly and features outstanding cured meats (salumi), fish (pesci) and cheeses (formaggi). You have choice of selecting 1, 3 or 5 items as well as red and white wine, beer, espresso and other non-alcoholic beverages. On the night we visited we had a delicious wild boar salami, a wonderful Calabrese salami, a fantastic sopresatta, a sharp pecorino and a delightful salmon. Both wines we chose were excellent paired with everything we tasted and, together with the crunchy crostini and breadstraws, was the perfect amount.

There are only a few tables so you have to get there early. The service was wonderful, the setting equally so and the music matched to both. The concept is well-thought out and executed. App.eritivi is the perfect pre-anything spot. Don't miss it!
