We had brunch on a Sunday and sat in the back room where a fireplace was burning. The pesto pasta with olives and was excellent and reasonably priced. The home made sausage with apples is delicious. The salad fresh and lightly dressed. On a cold January day the garden in the back looked like an enticing spot to dine when the weather gets warmer. A very satisfying experience.

The confused service made the experience less pleasant than it would likely have been otherwise. We stopped in for a snack, got seated at a nice table in the back. The waitress suggested we go to the bakery in the front to see what they had available. We arrived back just in time to see another couple being seated at our table. It eventually got straightened out, but not before the other couple made a few cracks. My apple beignet was very tasty; the coffee was awful, tasted like the bottom of the pot, and I don't believe it was decaf. On the strength of the beignet and the attractive decor, I'd probably give them another chance, though I'd probably stick to tea.

An authentic-feeling boulangerie/bar/patisserie which opened this past June in a former bank building. Has original woodwork on the ceiling and walls, tile flooring, a fireplace, couches and chairs in the "living room", a bar/lounge area + outdoor seating in a quaint flagstone garden. The staff was really laid back, friendly, and helpful, including the two sisters who look like twins! Fabulous tasting rustic and artisanal breads and baguettes are made several times a day, plus muffins, sandwiches, salads, dessert items, Strongtree (the local) coffee, teas, cider, hot chocolate, and soups. I had an Espresso Brownie which was slightly crusty and chock filled with chocolaty goodness on the outside, yet soft, moist and warming on the inside. That, and a steaming coffee or cider were the perfect quick retreat from a sunny but chilly outdoor jaunt around Hudson. Bon apetit!

We were in Hudson for a girls' weekend and had brunch at Cafe Le Perche. It was terrific! We all ended up with either the farmer's omelet or one of the breakfast sandwiches - both served with a bit of fruit and DELICIOUS grated potato hashbrowns and after we were finished we all wanted to order a second helping of each! We were also very impressed with the comfortable yet chic atmosphere - you felt like you were in Soho, Cambridge or San Francisco! On the downside, the service was a bit slow (but very accomodating) and I guess the portions were on the small side (thus the desire for 2nds) - but it's a great spot - I'd love to see how they do with lunch and dinner!
