My husband and I spent two nights at the Croff House mid-week in July. It was our first time in Hudson and the Croff House was the perfect place to stay. Less than a 5-minute walk to the main street (Warren) with all of the shops and restaurants. Russ & Duncan made our stay comfortable and they were very welcoming hosts. The breakfasts were amazingly delicious and kept us full all day long. The only recommendation I would make is to provide coffee in addition to the tea offered in the afternoon... after walking all day, we needed a pick-me-up. Thank you Russ & Duncan for a great stay in Hudson!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Esselstyn Suite which was spacious and comfortable with a large bathroom.

Thanks so much for the superb review! It's always great to hear how much our guests enjoyed their stay with us, including everything The Croff House offers to make their stay memorable from our multi-course breakfast, to our in-room amenities, to the service we provide. We agree that the inn is ideally located to all the Hudson has to offer yet quiet and peaceful for a relaxing and comfortable stay. As for coffee in the afternoon: we certainly couldn't compete with all the amazing places in town for that afternoon caffeine "fix" you were looking for (Moto, Rev, Patisserie Lenox, Verdigris, Nolita, and more). Next time you're in Hudson you need to give at least one of them a try - you'll agree! So until then, many thanks and we look forward to welcoming you back soon!

From the moment they greeted us at the front door, Russ and Duncan's welcoming smiles and positive energy set the tone for our stay at their gem of a B & B. Tucked within the heart of a quiet cul de sac, my husband and I were able to truly relaxation and breath on our weekend getaway. The amenities were a nice touch too. The jet shower, the feels like a cloud bed, the hearty breakfast and the warm atmosphere made a lasting impression on us that the Bailey family will return for more. Bravo Russ and Duncan!

It was truly our pleasure having you stay with us - you were wonderful, appreciative guests - and we so sincerely thank you for the spectacular review! While we know there are many great lodging options in Hudson, we try to make a stay at The Croff House stand out from the rest and that starts, as you said, from the moment our guests arrive. So happy to hear your weekend to Hudson was both fun and relaxing, and that you enjoyed all the amenities we provide our guests from our multi-jet spa showers to our comfy beds to our freshly prepared, three-course breakfast. We believe no detail is too small. It's awesome to hear you are already planning a return visit, and we look forward to having back with us again at The Croff House. Until then, please accept our most heartfelt thanks and enjoy the rest of your summer!

The Croff House is an excellent b and b, a very comfortable way to spend a few days away from the maddening crowds. The rooms, the beds, the showers with jets, the personal breakfast and the extraordinary hosts make it a place worth visiting and returning. I recommend it wholeheartedly.

It's so wonderful to know that you and Maria (review below) rated your stay with us so highly - we sincerely appreciate the terrific comments! Knowing that not only did you travel all the way from Quito, Ecuador to visit friends in Hudson, but that you chose The Croff House (out of all the great properties in town) for your stay makes us so happy. We hope our homemade jams you took home with you will bring back fond memories of your stay: breakfast, bed, shower and all. It was our pleasure hosting your family and we look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Until then, thank you very, very much for the wonderful review!

Russ and Duncan were hospitable from the get-go as I spoke to both of them on the phone a couple of times before confirming our t visit. When we arrived to The Croff House we were not disappointed. The B&B is a stunning Victorian house located in a very convenient area, close enough to walk around town. The house is about to get repainted so I can't wait to see how (even more) fabulous it will look soon enough! Duncan and Russ put so much care into the house and their guests that it truly makes for a wonderful experience. Not to mention that the 3 course breakfast was delicious! The room was spotless -includes AC, Apple TV, Netflix, DirectTV, comfortable bed, and an excellent shower. We will be back to Hudson on numerous occasions and look forward to staying at the Croff House once again!

Not only was reading your comments amazing, having you and your parents stay with us (all the way from Ecuador!) was equally so. Thank you SO much! The laborious painting work on the outside of The Croff House continues (if only the weather would cooperate!), and we can't wait to have you all back to see the "after" once it's completed. While our breakfasts almost always receive great praise - as do the bed, shower and amenities - we are most proud of our commitment to providing welcoming and genuine hospitality to our guests. We're thrilled to hear you will be returning to Hudson, and we will be so happy to have you back with us again at The Croff House. Once again, thanks a million for the great review!

Wonderful B&B in a quiet but convenient location near Frederic Church's Olana, Thomas Cole's Cedar Grove, and all the sights of the Hudson Valley. The hosts, Duncan and Russ, go out of their way to take care of all their guests and serve a magnificent breakfast. Very good restaurants for dinner within walking distance. Also, just seeing the architecture of the Victorian house --especially the curved wooden staircase and arched wooden molding -- is well worth the visit!

Thanks for the awesome review! Duncan and I are so happy you all enjoyed your stay with us at The Croff House. We do make every effort to ensure our guests have a wonderful stay at the inn and take in all there is to see and do (and eat!) in the area. You're right - our location is the ideal setting for a quiet relaxing stay, but located close to everything Hudson has to offer. Like so many other guests we thank you for giving a shout out to our breakfasts as well. As you said to us during your stay, there is so much you weren't able to fit it that a return visit is in order. We look forward to that and thank you again for the terrific praise!
