On a dead end ugly street. Nice room. No views.

The fire alarm went off in AM forcing an early morning wake up and run outside. We were herded outside for over 1.5 hours with no idea or suggestions of what to do. In shorts and T-shirt . Wandered around looking and feeling homeless. Came back after over an hour and still no word on when we could go back in or what was happening. Overall very amateurish - especially for a Starwood. No apologies and was asked did I have a good stay as if nothing happened. Oblivious and unprofessional handling. Understand fires can happen - but the response and treatment were wholly inadequate.

The whole town is overpriced for what it is.

Came to this Wonderful Hotel to escape Hurricane Florence. It is truly a hidden gem. I really want to give Honorable mention to some of the staff that went over and above. Jordana, Arturo,
Jhushawn and Breanna. They give this hotel MORE than a family atmosphere.
GREAT EMPLOYEES

A well designed, updated, and trendy hotel in beautiful Hudson. Although only about a 5 minute walk to popular Warren Street, the hotel has a complementary shuttle that will drop you off anywhere in town. The property is also very close to the Amtrak train station. The hotel has free valet parking, as well as self parking in the lot directly behind the hotel.

The rooms are upgraded, comfortable, and clean. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful - especially Ashley who helped us prior to our arrival with a booking issue.

Bonus: The property is owned by Starwood and is a part of the SPG program (be sure to sign up with Marriott prior to your arrival to get points for your stay)!

Will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Hudson.

Dear TTO,

We love our trendy spot in the trendiest town between NYC and ALB. Ashley will be so delighted when I share this with her.
Yes, were are part of the Marriott family, so book direct online, with your phone or call (phones work for that too) and get your points!!!

A thank you to Art for going above and beyond the call of duty to help a weary guest with transportation needs on Saturday, September 1st. It wasn't the first time Art went out of his way to help us over the summer. We appreciated his assistance and good humor.

The Wick is a converted industrial building. Now a very stylish place (perhaps the most in Hudson) with very comfortable rooms. The location is a few blocks off the beaten path (which in Hudson is a long way) in a desolate looking area. The view out our window was an expanse of nothing and another low industrial building. But you don’t go to Hudson to look out your window. And once you find the “secret” stairs to town you can walk to Warren St in 10 minutes. Our bedroom was very comfortable. The bar/restaurant area had temperature problems (too cold) which apparently couldn’t be fixed so we didn’t eat there. All the staff were solicitous. I’d call it a work in progress.

Room Tip: there are no views in this hotel. all rooms are probably the same.

Dear Joey,

Thankyou for the review. It had all the makings of a great one. I am sorry our location was not ideal for you but we really appreciate you noticing how caring and attentive our staff is. I will have my engineering team look into the temperature in the restaurant. We appreciate the feedback and strike to get better and better every day.

Hope to see you in the future,
Matt
