Great Place, Amazing Service, Not So Good Guests

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 10 Apr 2019
We stayed for a weekend in Mansion Garden Hotel. The service is immediately amazing from the beginning. The doormen assisted us with our luggage as soon as we arrived. The lobby is small, but very comfortable with small and large seats, cellphone charging, and water available for guests to take. We arrived a bit too early (before 11am), so I didn't expect to be able to be given a room much earlier. Instead I ordered iced coffee, and looked around the area. There's a small pool with an overhead cover and a great little restaurant. The iced coffee from the resto was yummy. Barely an hour later, we were informed that our room was ready, which is a relief to my senior citizen parents. This is an example of their amazing and kind service.

The room was comfortable and large. We were four in one room, with two large twin beds. It was clean and there were really good amenities, such as tea, water, and toiletries. Fresh towels for four people were prepared. The downside was that we were roomed quite close to several young guests who were quite loud and awake until nearly 12 midnight. But when we reported this to the hotel, they immediately responded to our call and helped us asked the other young guests to be quiet. :) After that, it was peaceful sailing. At breakfast, we had 2 complimentary meals and requested for 2 more. We were ready to pay, but they waived the payment because of the hassle that happened the night before! It was amazing that they remembered and even more that they took great pains to make up for something that wasn't even their fault. :)
We left the hotel with smiles on our faces. Next time I go back, I'm gonna make time for the Spa. :) It looks wonderful!

Little Cons: Not so good soundproofing and if you eat in the breakfast area, your clothes will smell like food/oil after! :) but beyond that, all good!

Customer service at its best - Manager Keren Lozano’s quick action in resolving the customer’s issue made a huge difference! I’m glad that I believed Mansion Garden’s excellent reviews by customers who’ve experienced the hotel’s outstanding customer service first hand! Now, my personal experience will be added to a fast growing positive reviews. They are a living proof of how I perceived to be a bad experience
to an exceptional, well thought of solution that exceeded customer’s expectations.

Venting out my frustration for what I thought was lack of information on the booking details, I
emailed the hotel to give them a chance to resolve the confusion between different room selections from a third party website, Keren quickly responded to my message, apologized for the confusion and immediately conducted damage control before I even thought of writing a negative review on trip advisor. I was very happy with the quick resolution that I decided to stay for 3 more nights at the hotel.

Lessons learned:
If you are claustrophobic, please ensure that you DO NOT book the standard room because the room does not have any windows. Choose the $8USD upgrade (difference when I was trying to book) standard deluxe room.

This is a perfect textbook example of how outstanding customer service should be, a 180 degree turn around from bad to one of the best customer service. Great job!!!

With a group of 12 family members, we booked 5 bedrooms. The hotel was recommended by my cousin who stays in this hotel as often as he could with his family to get away from Manila's fast paced life.
We would definitely recommend this hotel to our relatives and friends from the U.S.-the staff were very accommodating and helpful! We were able to check in even before check in time to accommodate our big group! That was really one of the best service ever from any hotels we've been to!
The breakfast choices were great! The massage service -our young members - 6 of them- had a great massage experience to say the least!.
The hotel restaurant (which closed at 9:30pm) allowed us to use their space even after closing time!
Over all rating: Excellent service!

Indeed a tucked away gem in Subic! So glad we decided to book here this time around. Check in was fast, staff were courtous - always greets their guests. Efficient had to call for help with TV. Food was good and very affordable. Pool is fantastic! If you are out for a weekend get away with Family- this is the place!! Walking distance to Harbor point, resturants, shops etc! Rooms are clean! Towels were not immaculately white but very clean and smelled fresh! Bathroom clean! Breakfast was good. Had traditional Pinoy breakfast. Very worth it for the price you pay! Keep up the good work!
