We were taken to New York for lunch several months ago by a business associate and had an amazing meal, so we decided to go back and try it for dinner. I'm embarrassed to say that we live locally and the restaurant has been open for three years and we've never made it there for dinner until last night. Boy, was that our loss!
The atmosphere of the restaurant is casual and fun, with great lighting and comfortable tables. The menu provides a great range of dishes, including Gluten Free and Vegetarian options, with tons of different starters, soups, salads and entrees.
And the food was amazing. I started with the Bigos soup (a hearty, stew with paprika) which was exceptionally. We ordered broccoli chips for the table (the perfect "picky" food). And for any entree, I had the pork schnitzel, which was perfectly cooked with a crispy outside and a juicy, tender inside. The portion sizes are generous and beautifully presented too.
Our service was simply outstanding. Despite being exceptionally busy, our server Melissa was attentive, friendly, knowledgable and always available to answer questions or assist with our dinning experience...she was beyond amazing. And the manager JJ, was the best. Unlike many managers who simply stand back and watch the world go by, he was actively helping out bussing tables, taking orders and running food...all so that the guests could have a wonderful experience (which we clearly did).
I can't wait to back here and know that we've found a new favorite place in the area. Definitely check it out today!!
