Took guest for a summer visit. My recommendation was for them to also return Christmas Eve celebration to experience the hundreds of year old services. You will find Native American crafts people year around. There is an admission fee.

My husband and I took a leisurely walk through the Taos Pueblo, enjoying the cultural history, talking to the locals, and experiencing the beauty of this amazing place. The mountains tower above the ancient pueblos that are still inhabited to this day.

This is a must-see for any American to understand your history. Taos Pueblo has been continuously inhabited for one thousand years- really makes you think about what you’ve learned about U.S. history. The guided tour was well-done and given by a college student who grew up here. This is still a functioning town, and it is unique among this type of site that people live here.

Visiting the Taos Pueblo is an amazing experience. I recommend going early or late in the day to avoid the crowds. The people are welcoming and kind, and have gorgeous pottery, jewelry and art to sell. The town itself is great for lunch and shopping.
