We've spend 3 nights at Garonga Safari camp and it was great!!
The tent (if you can call it that.....) is excellent, really good beds, great outdoor shower (and indoor ofcourse), nice touch that they have the electric blanket turned on when you arrive in your tent after dinner.
The game drives were outstanding, Jozia and Richard really went out of their way to show us all the animals!
Besides that all the rangers at Garonga make sure it's not too crowded when you find an animal. It's not like in some other places where there are 8 cars around 1 lion.

Everyone from the staff makes you feel at home.
We've also done the massage and the microflight, both which we can recommend!

It's a small lodge, only 12 people at a time, which makes it really intimate. After the evening game drive you have a drink with the other guests at the fire. Dinner is at a different place at the lodge every evening, toghether with the other guests, with your own party under the stars, at the boma.

All in all we've had a great time at Garonga and would love to come back!

Thanks indeed for your very positive feedback.
I am so happy you enjoyed your stay. The Microlite flight is indeed great fun and well recommended.

A safari had been on the Bucket List for my Wife for many years. This year we decided to cross it from the list and chose this beautiful place to close it out.
We were met at the nearby field airport by CJ in a long-wheelbase Range Rover for the bumpy trip to the accommodation.
The first word that came to us when we turned into the site was PARADISE!
We were welcomed into the main sitting area which was beautifully appointed and comfortable. From here we were given a site tour by Charlotte and all of our preconceptions were blown away by the sheer beauty of the place!
The living quarters as sumptuous by any standard, the food is of a really high standard too.
Management and staff are all friendly, helpful and approachable.
What about the wildlife?
Everything we could wish to see and then more! For conservation reason the Buffalo had been moved but everything else more than compensated...including the bush babies and squirrels moving around our homes!
The bird life was superb too. We were fortunate enough to pair up with a lovely couple, Mark & Sheila Curley, who accompanied us throughout our visit. Mark is a bird enthusiast so was invaluable!
Our driver, CJ, and Bush Guide, Phineas, were exemplary!
On our trip out to the overnight stay in the Bush, Phineas found tracks of a white rhino which we followed. We didn't see the rhino that night but did on the following day! Absolutely brilliant!
Our final safari led us to a beautiful Cheetah which posed like a professional for us! This sighting was followed by a bush surprise party, set-up by the staff for us!
From the balcomnies of the tents and main area, views over the water hole showd Rhino, Giraffe, Zebra, Elephant and Lion .
This holiday was the finest that my Wife and I had been on together. What a way to celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary!
I advise anyone thinking of a safari holiday to look very closely at Garonga!

Recently spent 5 nights at Garonga and I must say I could have stayed there for much longer. I was excited about going, but the reality far out weighed my expectations. To only have a max of 12 people at the camp was awesome - this meant it was quiet, and relaxing and not crowded. When out on safari we only had a max of 6 people per vehicle - so everyone was in an excellent viewing position.
The accommodation was awesome - the 'tents' were amazing - so much more luxurious than expected.
The meals were top notch - plenty of food and well cooked - not fancy food but good wholesome, tasty cooking which I really enjoyed - and all drinks (including alcohol) was part of the deal.
Saw so much wildlife - missed out on a cheetah but saw many others animals (leopard, impala, elephant, lion, honey badger, wild dog, giraffe, hyena, many birds and jackal to name a few)
It was pure bliss - no need for TV, phone or internet when you have real wild animals to enjoy. A really relaxing holiday.

We recently stayed at Garonga for the last leg of our honeymoon and first safari experience. Bernie and the whole team at Garonga were just brilliant. We were not left wanting for anything. Their friendliness, service and overall care made it the best possible way to finish our holiday.
Our safari team of Samantha and Kaiser were just brilliant. They worked well together and both had such great knowledge of the animals, birds and area we were looking at. They gave us as much time as we wanted to look at animals, nothing was rushed and it gave us time to really enjoy and experience what we were seeing.
We also did the sleep out while there which was a fun addition to the stay. The sleep out was one of the most peaceful sleeps I can remember having!
The food was excellent and varied. It was high quality but had the lovely touch of really feeling home made. The wine and drink choices were also excellent.
All the people who work at Garonga made this such a brilliant experience for us.
We cannot recommend visiting here enough, we hope to be back!

A pleasure having you to stay and so chuffed you enjoyed your Garonga experience.
Samantha and Kaizer are indeed a great team, considering they have only been together now 2 months, and so glad you saw so much.
The sleepout as in most cases is so popular and well received.
We very much look forward to welcoming you back.

We came to Garonga for our Honeymoon in June. It is hands down the best place I have ever stayed! The photos do not do it justice at all. The accomadation is spotless, the views incredible, the bed was so comfy and the food was amazing.
- The staff completely make the experience, the guys around the place, the drivers and the spotters were all so friendly.
- The sundowners on the game drives are so special, Gin and Tonic under the stars in the middle of Kruger is something I will never forget.
- The actual safari drives cannot be beaten, we told the guys driving what we wanted to see, and they tracked and found them for us.
- It is so inimate due to the maximum amount of guests being 12. I would reccoment the bush bath if on honeymoon.
-The best thing about the whole experience was the sleep out. Everyone should try it, sent away with beautiful food and as much drink as we could want. Staying up in the 4 poster beds, we managed to see zebras around the watering hole at 2am.
It was ruined every other holiday I ever go on, so il have to return,
Thank you so much

Room Tip: Do the sleep out experience! once in a lifetime.
