Had high hopes and this went way beyond - accommodation is very good and service food and drinks top notch with elephants and wildlife providing the entertainment while you eat ! As for safari I would not have believed how close you get and the wildlife doesn't bat an eye - we got Elephants 2 herds including new born and 5-6 individual elephants, White and black Rhino, lions (4 prides), leopard twice, 2 cheaters mother and youngster twice with kill 2nd time, Hippos in the water, buffalo, impala Kudo and 2 other types of antelope, Girafffes galore including baby still with umbilical cord, Zebra wilderbeest Hyena Jackal crocodile and many others - tracker Richard and driver/tracker Isaac where brilliant - if you are thinking of a safari strongly recommend you do it and Garonga is ideal with a max 12 people at Garongo and 6 at little Garonga making this an ideal size.

Room Tip: Any really there are only 6 3 on either side of the ameities area

Thanks indeed for your very kind feedback. You certainly sound as though you had a great Safari Experience; great attributes to the Guide and Tracker.
It does show that you don't have to go to the very expensive Lodges further South in order to see great Game.
Thanks again.

Wow, what an awesome way to go on Safari. Garonga was everything we were hoping for and more. The Safari felt very private and we were able to see so much wildlife in an amazing landscape. (Highlight was seeing a Leopard on our last day) The service is second to none and you really feel like you are part of the landscape set above a dry river bed. The Food and service is exceptional and I would highly recommend spending a night under the stars in their very own tree house and also taking a Bush Bath. With it's own private air strip and very helpful staff this is definitely a place to go and visit. Our holiday was arranged by Emily at Imagine Africa who we can thoroughly recommend.

I have been to Africa three times , this time it was at the end of a three month trip volunteering, it was my time to relax.
What an amazing experience from beginning to end.
The camp is beautiful and your guides, trackers and hosts go out of their way to make sure that you have the best time possible.
It is a beautiful camp, also known as Glamping which is what it is. Three beautiful meals a day, every night is different .
For those of you who have not yet visited Africa this is a place you want to go to.
It is only a hour flight from Joburg and you will be picked up and taken to this most beautiful sight.
You will see all the animals that you only see on television.

Room Tip: Luxury Tent

Garonga certainly lives up to its ethos of 'Safari for the Soul'. Peaceful, luxurious tented camp in beautiful surroundings. Convivial company, delicious food & wine. Fantastic game drives - thank you Loderick, Stuart and Kaiser. Charlotte so gentle, friendly and welcoming. Beautiful, smiley spa lady (sorry I couldn't pronounce your name!) with her relaxing outside/inside massage and the plinky, plonky water flowing underneath. All the staff really. So kind, friendly and welcoming. Could have stayed longer...much longer!
