The Village Pizza in Corrales is awesome. Two favorites any pizza with green chili and the white cheese pizza with spinach and piñon nuts. Salad bar is always fresh, clean and much to choose from. Staff is extremely friendly. If you haven’t tried it put it on your bucket list.

Waited 30 minutes at a dirty table in dog patio. Finally went inside to get service. Was told rudely that I didn't check in. No one checked in. Others were walking in and getting
Immediate service. I had dogs with me and didn't think I was supposed to go inside. Doubt I will go back.

Whether you order from the menu or go with the buffet you can't go wrong. This place is the best. Great mom and pop place to eat.

Periodically, one gets a hankerin' for pizza. Local pizza, not chain store pizza, made by your neighbors, sold by your neighbors, close to your neighborhood. Perhaps with a choice of crust, a choice of sauces, and a vast choice of toppings. Maybe it needs to be wallet-friendly, too. Well, we have just the place: Village Pizza in Corrales.

Village Pizza (VP) has an array of ready to order pizzas in the standard sizes (12" small, 14" medium, and 16" large) as "regular combos", speciality combos, a lite-line combo, and some "other combos", including the absolute king of pizzas - the Carnivore. They also offer pasta and calzones, soup and salad, and a buffet (at particular times). Plus, a beer and wine list.

I've ordered take-out or dined here probably twenty-five times over the years, and never had a bad experience with the food or the service. Always good tasty pizza, served quickly and cheerfully. Once, a minor mix-up on a topping, but that's still a darn fine track record.

They have an outdoor patio, mostly shaded, which is sublime in the summer and fall (not so much in the typically windy NM spring), that seats a fair number of people. Perfect place to go hang with some friends on a nice evening, enjoying pizza and brews and discussing things of import and non-import alike.

The buffet has of course pizza, and a salad bar. The pizza can go quickly, and I'd probably like a broader, "meatier" choice of pizzas in it, but in all fairness that could be said of virtually all pizza buffets. In you try it, sample the delicious Green Chile Cheeseburger Pizza they offer. Wow.

On the "local" aspect, VP has this to say:
"Keeping things local. We are constantly buying and helping local businesses and organic farmers, with locally sourced produce."
VP offers an "Equestrian Discount" of 10% if you ride your horse up and hitch it. Personally, I'd like to see that expanded to a "bicyclist discount" and a "birder discount" ("If you see a bird outside Village Pizza, you'll get a 10% discount!").
They also have a meeting room for larger parties and/or special events.

All in all, a very good place to satisfy that pizza urge.

Many different choices of "sauce" , toppings on a great crust! A large feeds 4 with a single trip to the salad bar. The salad bar is plain but filling with good solid choices. Many local beers, cider and wine selections. A buffet is offered early in the week for lunch and dinner.
