the layout of the hotel is inconvenient. there are lots of stairs and walking to get to your room or the restaurant, The stairs seem a bit scary and dangerous at times with no rails and it raining and slippery. The bathroom was not very clean and the towels were threadbare. The service in the restaurant was not very good - they did not have regular Coke!, when I asked for hot water it took 15 minutes and me asking 3 times for it.

The so called resort is just an overnight stopping place for budget travellers who keep it occupied .
Yes it does have good view ..mind you it is not in Punakha but in a village overlooking rice fields .
We had booked deluxe room and what we had to walk 87 steps from reception to reach our room !
La carte food was ordered in the afternoon and we paid and were charged for room service ! I questioned them why you charged when you do not give any discount for guests climbing 87 steps to the room .Stoic faces .
No difference in the food served in night ..same food served for buffet and when I asked for Chef he refused to come .
Next day instead of 4 3 of us were only down for dinner and my daughter asked for one parantha instead of roti and was told that she would have to pay ..not withstanding that the fourth person is not even having dinner and has not sought any refund for this !!!!!!
The place best be left for mass group travellers who throng it as the hotel restaurant has very few options and they largely repeat with little changes food dished to the guests every night .
Avoid and stay at equivalent prices in the town .
All that glitters is not gold is proven by stay here .
The wifi worked intermittently

Room Tip: Just avoid this place

It’s a relatively old property but with a good top view. .....Food is ok with lesser options.....There are hardly any amenities....For Badminton they as asked us to pay Rs 1200 per hour .......For Bycycle they asked us to pay Rs. 480....... For one bowl of Curd Rs. 100 plus tax ...... For drying of Cloth on one string Rs. 200 plus tax I mean complete madness....I mean very disappointing.

But I must acknowledge that they returned our belongings which we missed in room. No doubt about their personal honesty .

It is a luxury resort situated a little on the outskirts of Punakha. The Chimi Lhakhang is at a walking distance from here. You can see the hills and the terraced farms sitting inside the hotel.
The hotel looks beautiful but there is a lot of walking & climbing to be done. Our room and bathroom were spacious with all amenities present. The wifi worked well. A special mention of the bathroom which had a shower cubicle & a bathtub, and was nothing short of luxury.
The F&B and service were good.

A lovely hotel in Punakha, very friendly, the rooms are great, lovely big bathtub. Dinner was specially nice and the service was caring and helpful. My husband was not feeling well and they provided "special diet food" at no extra cost: nice of them.
The views from the bedrooms into the Punakha valley were fantastic with 2 armchairs facing the view to sit on and just simply take it all in.

Room Tip: Definitely with a view but I believe most of them do.
