We arrived on the stroke of 2 p.m.for our 3 night stay. Fiona was there to help us with the heavy suitcases. Our “Lavender”room was ready. Spacious with enormous functioning bathroom - bath & shower. Nice spacious grounds, but steep dirve up from road. Once we had settled in Fiona appeared with a very welcome pot of tea and biscuits and immediately attended personally to an hygienic hiccup (wood now replaced by white plastic ?).Minor point - DSTV quality could be improved. Restaurants were booked for us. Weather forecasts for our destinations were printed out without having asked for them. Nice lounge with informative books and sunny terrace. As already described by others, breakfast in Braeside on the verandah is very special. Fiona created a very relaxed atmosphere such that conversation between the guests came easily. She is an indefatigable hostess. When in South Africa stay at least one night at Braeside!

A return to Braeside to see Fiona is like visiting a friendly relative. From welcoming drinks to laundry, booking of restaurants to helpful advice it cannot be beaten. I thought the food offered at breakfast was excellent and took a photo of the menu and buffet to show other what should be offered.
Cannot praise the stay to highly.

Room Tip: All rooms will be quiet as situated in a large garden.

We ve never seen such a nice place before. Everything is top quality.
Fiona has thought on every detail. The garden is a beauty. The breakfast was great. The room did us feel like the king and the queen of the world. We were provided with lots of documentation. Internet connection was very good.

What a lovely place to unwind. The plunge pool is perfect after a hard day of sightseeing.
I stayed in the "Tribal" room which has no bath but is large enough to share with a colleague.
The breakfast is excellent with attentive service.
Must come here again.
