This place is WAY expensive, but well worth it if you have the wherewithal. Great to celebrate a special occasion, anniversary, birthday etc...for couples. Don't bother bringing kids here. Enjoyed the bar scene while waiting for our table. Eclectic menu and uncommon food selection. I ate things I never thought I would, and it was all fantastic. A cheaper way to experience Nicholas is just hang at the bar and order some apps.

We had a wonderful meal here last night. Celebrating our 25th anniversary, we couldn't of picked a better place. Greeted warmly at the front door, we were seated immediately. The service was attentive without being overbearing. We had a choice between the three course meal or a five course tasting menu with or without a wine pairing. We chose the three course meal. I started with the day scallops. Nice size scallops in a tangy sauce. The better half had the crispy octopus with chick peas. She couldn't get enough of it. My entree was the suckling pig with apple and Brussels sprouts in a light maple sauce. Exquisite. The wife had the cod which she said was light and flavorful. Dessert was the deconstructed bread pudding, a nice end to a wonderful meal.
Overall a wonderful dining experience. Be forewarned though, all this wonderful food comes at an expensive price which may preclude it from becoming your regular restaurant, but for that special occasion it is well worth it.

We did the tasting menu with one order of the Nicholas and one order of the Cellar wines. The cellar wines were expensive but also excellent. Every single food item we got was great. This is certainly worthwhile a repeat. But also do expect a pretty big price tag for this meal. For 2 people doing the tasting menu with wines and a couple of drinks be prepared to pay $500.

I can see why Nicholas is a consistently written up across the state. We went for a birthday celebration, and they made it wonderful. service is top notch, friendly and efficient. Food was creative, presented beautifully. Prix fix has a lot of options. Gnocchi with pork ragu appetizer was so different and delicious. Cod, lobster meals were fresh and tasty. Nice touch on birthday dessert and to go Blondie brownies for all. We will absolutely make this a go to for celebrations.

Great food either in the dining room or at the bar. Try the price-fixe in the bar - changes daily with option to pair wine with each course.
