Comfi is a great local eatery for breakfast and lunch. The parking lot is small and there's almost always a wait, especially at peak times, but don't let that deter you - it's worth the wait. Staff is friendly, service is good, prices are reasonable, and the portions are enormous. Arrive hungry - and even then you still might be taking home a doggie bag! My first time visiting I ordered the wrong dish (Eggs Benedict, drowning in Hollandaise sauce) but I've been back several times, and I've decided it must have just been an off day (or the cook just goofed on the sauce) because since then, I've loved everything I've had there. I am especially fond of the Nutella & Fruit Pancakes - piled high and topped with your choice of strawberries, blueberries, or banana - or all! They're typically topped with powdered sugar and whipped cream. Almost like a dessert, but who says Nutella can't be breakfast?! The homemade classic french toast is also delicious. 3 thick slices of Challah dipped in a secret sweet batter. Served golden brown and with whipped cream, if desired. The crunchy french toast has fruit and crunchy granola. There is also the Elvis French toast with Reese peanut butter and bananas. All heavenly! All of the omelettes are great, too, and there are plenty to choose from. Classic western, mushroom, bacon, ham and cheese, vegetarian, salmon with goat cheese, Mediterranean, and a healthy Crossfit egg white omelette with grilled chicken, spinach, feta and red onion. If you can dream up an omelette, Comfi can probably make it. Plenty of fresh eggs dishes and assorted heart healthy Scramblers, as well. If you can't decide what to order, there's even a breakfast called The Undecided which includes a sampler of fresh eggs, pancakes, french toast, breakfast potatoes, and your choice of meat. Arrive hungry!!! Grandma Jenny's Blintzes," Potato Pancakes, and Pierogies are all homemade specialties and real comfort food prepared the "old world" way. I haven't had a chance to try lunch here yet, but there's a large selection of pita sandwiches, assorted wraps, salads, falafel, chicken pesto, roasted turkey, tuna salad, BLT's and Chicken Caesar, plus more! Eight different varieties of burgers to choose from and even a thinly sliced strip steak with sautéed mushrooms, onions, and peppers or a Hawaiian chicken plate! Just too many dishes to name - you have to go and experience it for yourself. You will not leave disappointed! Just think homemade, old world, diner style, comfort food - and that's the best of Comfi!
