This coffee shop , which was recently remodeled, is at heart a good old fashioned neighborhood find. The staples of bacon and eggs, club sandwiches, burgers, and fries are all there as well as those comfort foods we love, like homemade meatloaf and pork roll, egg, and cheese sandwiches. They even roast their own turkey breasts and roast beef for their sandwiches!
What truly makes this place special is the atmosphere. It is family owned and everyone there makes you feel at home. The minute you walk in the door you are now part of the "Colonial Family".

Family owned & operated coffee shop. Good, clean decor - counter service, tables or booths. Wonderful for breakfast & lunch. Friendly service.

Howell isn't a community in the usual sense of the word. It's housing developments hugging Route 9. So places that feel "neighborly" are few and far between. In fact, there's only one--Colonial. Pete and Debbie go out of their way to be gracious, and when you pull up to the counter there, it's like taking a seat at your own table. I'm so grateful for this oasis in the chaos, and I love these folks like family.
