Visited here for the 2nd time with a friend to celebrate my birthday. We arrived at 8:30 on a Friday night and got seated right away. Our server was very nice and attentive. We brought a bottle of red wine so they can make sangria for us. Tbh, I think we'll opt to drink just wine plain next time. The sangria was so watered down and had no taste really. We decided to get an appetizer and an entree to share bc we weren't that hungry. We started with the shrimp and garlic appetizer. It was average. It was basically 4 shrimp on a plate swimming in a saffron garlic broth. Nothing special. We got the Ropa Vieja with a side of maduros to share and it was really delicious. Probably the best I've had although my friend and I thought it was a bit salty. Nonetheless it was delicious. For dessert, we had the tres leches cake which was really yummy. The waitress put a candle in it and sang to me. Overall food and service was good but the only thing that we were disappointed about was the speed of service. I know this is a weird thing to complain about since most people want their food to come out quickly. But if you are looking for a casual leisurely night out to have dinner and drinks with a friend, this is not the place! They literally bring out everything right after one another and they get you in and out. Some people may love that but we were going out on a Friday night to chat, wine and dine. We felt very rushed.
