We were at Lorenzo's (proper spelling) for Valentine's Day. This was our first visit since Lorenzo's returned to Freehold at this Mount Corner location. Although the prices are moderate, the menu features selections you expect to find at a fine dining Italian restaurant.
I had twin lobster tails over linguine with Scampi sauce. The plate included an assortment of Little Neck clams and mussels. This was an excellent combination of flavors. The quality was great. My wife had Lobster Ravioli with Vodka Sauce. This was also very good.
We shared two appetizers, Buffalo Mozzarella Caprese and Eggplant Rollatini. The Mozzarella was drizzled with Olive Oil and Balsamic glaze. It was terrific. The Eggplant Rollatini was the best we have had at any restaurant. And finally, the desserts were perfect. Tiramisu and Cannoli were made fresh at the restaurant. Can't say enough about the quality here.
Last but not least was the service. Our server, Sheri, besides being knowledgeable and efficient, had a smile and personality that lit up the dining room. To top it off Owner/Chef Lorenzo stopped by our table to introduce himself and ask how everything turned out. Lorenzo's is a BYO restaurant so pick up your own special favorite and enjoy.
