If I were to sum up the Mirage (over several stays), I would describe it as "reliably decent". I have stayed here several times, and my room is always clean and comfortable, the service that I receive is always good, and the dining options are good (from more casual to a couple that are more upscale). The room is not as fancy or modern as some other hotels on the strip, but it is well maintained. Some other observations:
* I have never won very much in the casino, but I rarely get cleaned out...usually close to breaking even (which is a win in my book)
* The casino has an interesting smell to it...sort of like the beach or the ocean. It is actually really relaxing.
I am never blown away, but I am always very satisfied with my stay here. That sort of reliability is comforting when I am coming to Las Vegas.More
