Large room and very comfortable. Within the strip and near shopping and entertainment venues. Service was good. Like all the other Las Vegas hotels, had to manouvre your way through smoky casino tables and machines

My husband and I stayed in the Tropicana as we love this end of the strip. We managed to get an upgrade to one of the suites on the 21st floor at a discount. Was well worth the extra money. Fantastic air conditioning, room faced directly onto the south end of the strip, jacuzzi in room, separate sitting room - amazing!

The buffet is very average in the hotel, not sure I would eat there again. The Robert Irvines restaurant was soooo overpriced for the VERY basic food we were given. I ordered the chicken Caesar salad and I have to say I had a much better Caesar salad in the Cheesecake Factory! My husband ordered what basically looked like mac and cheese that had been sitting for a while topped with pulled pork. Not impressed at all!

Overall, the room made the stay really pleasant but I wouldn’t eat in the hotel again - apart from the little Italian place where we got breakfast.

Definitely worth a stay though.

Poor/bland food at buffet, other restaurants not bad. Room had a bad A/C unit, talked to Diamond Lounge attendant, was hoping to move rooms, but she told me they would look at it, no change the second night. Room shower was old and falling apart, look like a cheap motel shower, VERY low ceilings 6'6" in many areas, not great since I am 6'5." Also noisy right off air port with poor blinds. All in all not horrible for maybe a 3 star hotel, but as a Hilton Resort very bad... do not recommend, stay at a different Resort on the strip.

On check in the staff was very helpful and polite, just a shame there wasnt more of them to help with the Que.
The rooms was good clean and a good size no complaints at all.
The pool area was also disappointing with half the pool shut off due to lack of life guards to supervise, and the price of drinks out by the pool was stupidly priced wished hotels would get the message cheaper beer means more people drink. We had one and did not drink again there at all, more reasonable priced and we would have.
The one saving grace to the bar was there was free water.

My main disappointment with this hotel was the lack of entertainment, we understood this was more a quiet location type of hotel for Vegas but someone playing a piano? sax or some where to have a drink with some music playing ?
Also the gaming tables mainly roulette i found i could not play as much as i wanted due to being full most nights, And i could not understand why half the gaming tables including a second roulette wheel was never in use all week we was there, i can only imagine it was because it was short staffed. I am sure it was not just me that wanted to play and could not get on so the money lost from us, surely warrants opening up a second table ?

Overall if you like peace and quiet with not much going on then this place is ideal, there are a few shows here but no free entertainment at all when we was there.
Short walk away to more action across the road if needed.
Close to airport and top of the strip, if you want peace then this is ideal if you want more action i would recommend head more towards main strip.

Thank you, SieFly, for your feedback on the Tropicana. We are saddened to hear you found your visit to be less than satisfactory. We have recently filled all of our open positions at the pool, and will begin providing a fully operational season. Additionally, we are in the process of doing a casino floor redesign, which has lead us to close select table games. We will be re-opening these in the future pending the completion of our changes. As well, we have shared your concerns with our entertainment team. So they may keep these concerns in mind as we bring in future entertainment options. We apologize that you were unable to experience us at our best, and we hope to exceed your expectations on your next visit.

Sonie provided excellent customer service upon check-in and recommended the bungalow. What a great recommendation and a view of the garden and pool. I am not surprised of the great customer service and the clean room, as Tropicana is a Double Tree of the Hilton family!
