We stopped here on the way to Bowman Lake in GNP. Everybody on YouTube stops here so we didn’t know what to expect. The shop itself is very cool with lots of old antiques from when it actually opened. But everybody talks about the bakery - and it did not disappoint. We got a cinnamon roll, sticky bun, and another item and they were delicious and lived up to the hype it receives online. Staff was friendly and property was nice to walk around and stress your legs. Definitely stop here on the way to Bowman.

A worthwhile stop when you're on the way to Lake Bowman as this is the only place to fill up on food, gas and souvenirs! Sandwiches are huge and filling and there's a good selection of MT souvenirs. This place has been here for over 100 years in essentially a remote area so kudos to them for successfully maintaining a business for so long and providing essential services to all visitors!

If your anywhere near Glacier Park you have to make a trip to Polebridge. This place has made a name for itself with the sales of huckleberry bear claws. We had never heard of huckleberries and so, we wanted to try this experience. A freshly made huckleberry bear claw is the bomb. So, so good. Just one note, but don't let it discourage you. The road to get there is a dirt road and you will encounter holes if note graded after we left in early Sep of this year. As an old expression, it's in the boonies, but, you have to do this experience if you haven't heard of huckleberries. Those who do know, know how good these bear claws really are.

This is really the only stop between Whitefish and Bowman Lake. The other car we were traveling with got a flat on the drive out and the store had an air pump we could use when we found out our spare was a little low. Staff was friendly. When we first stopped in the morning (8:30ish) the place was fairly quiet. We got a few pastries to share. Huckleberry bear claw, huckleberry brownie and butterscotch brownie were all delicious. There were all sweet but it's a donut and brownie so that's what you normally expect. Nice array of other touristy knickknacks as well.

Visited Polebridge Mercantile before a trip to Bowman Lake to grab lunch. ended up getting a black bean pastry and a spicy mango pastry for the next day's hike (which was SO MUCH better than the PBJ bagel I would have otherwise taken). Plus a huckleberry bear claw, of course. Some in our group had a beer on the way out and we stopped again for dinner, beers, and live music on the way back. Ended up being a highlight of the trip. Shout out to Seth and Sara for great music! (from - the army crawling group.)
