Great large modern rooms spread out in various buildings. Well appointed. Near Trinity st. Sergiev Monastery decor ended in Russian folk style. Great for weddings good wi fi and TV food is fine and staff friendly

We stayed one night and liked this hotel, although the beds were firmer than we prefer. The reservation DID include breakfast, although booking.com stated, "No breakfast included." The breakfast was good--nice selection. Rooms were very clean. We had a room with a small shower (enclosed type). Anyone traveling with children will appreciate the pleasant grounds and play equipment.
The hotel itself is very nice all things considered. We took a mid-priced room on the first floor. The bed was great for sleeping, the minibar was all reasonably priced and everything was clean and modern.
The restaurant was terrible, we had to wait for a long time and the food wasn't well considered - if you get a chance there's a restaurant/bar called Russian Garden ("Russky Dvorek") which was great for food/drink/atmosphere about 2 mins walk away.
The reception staff were very nice, the price was ok and the standards generally were good.
Think "Alice in Wonderland" meets "The Prisoner" set amongst ski chalets and, well you get the scene. Positives - it's clean and the bed was great. Also the location, being close to the monastery is perfect. On the negative side, the room was poorly designed, no desk or place to use a laptop and position of power outlets meant we both had to sit on the floor near the door to do emails. Overall not a bad place but really rather odd.
The hotel is close to the main sights and the restaurant is especially good. We had two meals within 2 days and we still want more of their lamb and Russian food. The internet is the room is fast (maybe we are in the main building). Highly recommended. Some of the receptionist can't speak English but one or two of them we met can help us solve the problems.
