The setting and ambiance is very welcoming with a variety of spaces available ranging from intimate to group spaces. The lighting is superbly done on the terrace and adds to the overall ambiance, not intrusive but adequate. The starter of tataki of cured pork was excellent, flavoursome and beautifully presented. The pumpkin soup was more of a purée than soup but was delicately flavoured, the turnip was presented as cubes rather than candied flakes so a little disappointing but overall good flavours. The waiter recommended a local moscatel which was excellent and good value. The wine had a dry finish in the mouth and a bouquet of the sweet moscatel grape, lingering finish. The chargrilled chicken salad was so fresh and packed with layers of flavour, a delightful light Caesar dressing complimented the leaves and intensity of the tomatoes, rounded off with the salty tang of black olives, an absolutely delicious salad. Dessert was the fresh mango, cold carrot cream with ginger and lime sorbet and mascarpone cup with coffee caramel and amaretto foam. The presentation was excellent and the desserts were of the same high standard as the meal. This is a newer restaurant in Mijas but it has a long future if the service and quality continue to that experienced this evening
