If you are in Duluth MN and plan to head north for resort time or a canoe trip on the Boundary Waters, please dont take the Expressway to Two Harbors. Ease your way into a slower, scenic drive into the woods. Enjoy the riocky coastline, look for boats on the big Lake. Stop and enjoy a piece of pie or the local pastie (meat pies).visit the quaint little towns or perhaps one of several microbreweries. Eat frest herring, lake trout, or whitefish right out of the lake. Rent a cabin in the woods or a condo at a resort. Summer: fish, canoe, kayak. Fall: view the many fallcolors off the back roads. Winter: ski, snowboard or snow shoe, perhaps a snow machine rental? Seatch out one of the great restaurants or visit a gift shop. Give yourself a week or maybe two. There are so many things to do!

Very rarely do you come across a place where, regardless of the time of the year, there is beauty to be found. Yet the Scenic Drive offers just that. Whether it be the middle of the spring bloom, the changing leaves in fall, or the dead of winter; Because the views of Lake Superior are breathtaking all year round. Plus, there's nothing quite like watching the sunrise on the lake on a nice summer morning. If you don't take this drive while you're in Duluth, then you're missing out!

We enjoyed our scenic drive, like Maine, but simpler and not salty. We even did it one way in the rain and did not disappoint

We went on a beautiful sunny day. The ride was beautiful. Plenty of parking. We walked over the dunes to sit on the beach. There was a beautiful view. Was very easy to put your feet in the lake there. If you want relaxing place to sit and enjoy the water this is your place.
