Very clean, well maintained and quiet. The owner is very personable and helpful with the area’s attractions. Very good rates for the rooms. Has a small morning breakfast with fresh brewed coffee that started early to get the day going.
Easy access from the motel for traveling east or west.
Many choices in this area to stay at ,but this is the one I always go back to. Big thanks to Mike.

Very clean, quiet, comfortable accommodations. Mike and his staff are very friendly and helpful (trust their recommendations for local restaurants/businesses). We highly recommend this establishment.

No, it's not the Ritz-Carlton, there isn't a spa or valet parking, and you won't find a silver champagne bucket or complimentary slippers in your room. But when your head hits the comfortable pillow atop a cloud-like king bed you'll still be chuckling to yourself at your great fortune in meeting Mike, the owner operator, who will have regaled you with tales of his tireless work to make this roadside treasure a welcoming place for new generations of guests. And in all likelihood you also will have picked up from him some of the history of the Colonial and of Mike's memorabilia lining the walls of the lobby. Sure, you could stay in a generic national chain motel up the street. But this is authenticity, this is tradition and local lore, this is a personal experience in the hands of a host who has hospitality (and storytelling) in his blood. I bet you'll be glad you stayed, and I bet you'll be back.

I found this place by pure luck. I only stayed one night but wish I would have been able to stay longer. Next year, I will plan my trip around this cute place.

Michael was such a good host and with attention to detail, gave me ideas of things to do and took the time which is such a rarity these days.
Such a nice visit. I loved all of the original woodwork.

I will definitely visit this gem again.

See you soon
