In town to see the Tigers, saw this place on Google Maps. Checked out their website and decided to visit. IT IS NOT AS ADVERTISED.
Very limited menu. In fact it is on a board. The Guinness was cold, but the remainder of drafts was limited unless you like IPA's.
Maybe if the website hadn't been so appealing I wouldn't have been so disappointed. This is an Irish pub in name only. Well, the bartender was as friendly as an Irishman.

I love coming here on the weekends! It’s a fun spot to be. There’s multiple floors where you can dance & the food is cheap & really good! It’s also a fun place to be to celebrate St Patrick’s Day!

We finished up watching NCAA Basketball and went looking for things to do in downtown Detroit. We found Old Shillelaghs. It was St. Patrick’s weekend so finding a “Irish Pub” seemed like a good idea.
Upon walking in the door, we were greeted by the door guy with a very loud and sarcastic directive about a cover and I’d..
we entered and asked about draft selections and were responded to by yet more rudeness and sharp comments. I felt compelled to tell the lady we were not from here and asked for a bit of patience. Got our drinks and worked our way towards the dance floor.
The crowd was a mix what I would describe as rough locals and out of towners realizing they walked into the wrong place.
In the back there was a constant smell of pot drifting around, locals that clearly knew what the inside of a prison looked like and what appeared to be a meeting of all the street salespeople selling, beads, flowers and American flag pins.
Realizing this wasn’t our place, we tried to work our way out. Only to find we couldn’t exit from the exit???? We were sent back through the bar out a side door... only to find a guy knocked out just outside the door and another overly intoxicated guy puking against the wall.
We went on to visit several spots in downtown that were pretty cool. Moving forward we will visit Detroit... too be clear we will not be visiting this dump.

Went tonight for a small Detroit Grand Prix party. Not many people showed up because of the weather.

Service was okay, but we weren't approached with menus. Might have ordered some food.

Also, prices for beer & mixed drinks were a bit high & served in plastic cups.

Will go back on a normal night & try the beer battered fish. Saw one go by & it looked great.

I came here with a group of friends one night and it was packed with people but a lot of fun. It's right in the middle of Greektown so there is a lot of foot traffic through here. I would say the drinks here are cheaper than in other places in the area. I recommend this place if you are in the area.
