Took me a little time to write this review, but must give props where props were due. By far, one of the best dinners I have had in long time. Was staying by the ocean for a couple of days to celebrate my daughters birthday.
Started with a wonderful bottle of wine, and shared a beet salad. I had the Spring braise of lamb, herbed spaetzle, pistachio, Parmesan which had a wonderful flavor. My daughter had Pan-seared shrimp, clams, tasso, peas, paella risotto which she loved. At 6pm on a Monday, the restaurant was empty, but by 7 there wasn't an empty seat. The waitress was wonderful, brought my daughter a desert with a candle. Shared a creme brulee to top it off. The prices are reflective of the quality of the food. I wish this restaurant was closer to my home!! A true winner!

We had 7:45 reservations and were quickly seated after our arrival. We had dinner with another couple and we each tired one of the unique drinks from the menu. I had the Bucket Town Punch which tasted like watered down fruit juice. For starters I chose the clam chowder, good but nothing worth noting. My wife had the Arugula salad that was lacking the figs and gorgonzola but good nonetheless. For my entrée I had the swordfish and my wife had the King Crab special. Both were good but portions are small so we all got dessert. I had the Olive Oil Cake Parfait and my wife had Chocolate Sour Bunt cake. She said it was good. Over all good service, good food but small portions and way overpriced.

Bar had a good vibe but that's it. Food is expensive , small portions, and not that good. Definitely overrated and relying upon a "name". Hop on the ferry next to Alma Nove and go to the north end in Boston for a better meal at the same price!

Went to Alma Nove after Wahlburgers. Well we'd come so far, we weren't letting the moment pass us!

It was a lovely restaurant. Reasonable prices, great location. Fully stocked bar abs great cocktail menu. Just wish we could've stayed longer!

I wish I could give this restaurant a better review. There were some high points but mostly disappointment. We had a large party (11) and asked for separate checks. Our waitress literally made a face and expelled a sigh. I've been a waitress, so I get it, but it was unnecessary. Food for our children was brought out early as requested and was enjoyed-this is a positive. I don't enjoy large TV's in any restaurant short of a pub or a bar, so this was a negative. If you are charging $30+ for an entree a better ambiance is expected. I ordered the beet salad with goat cheese. I expected a soft goat cheese as is the norm and was not explained on the menu otherwise. The cheese had the consistency of grated Parmesan. It felt like it was missing some acidity or salt. Found myself salting it - almost to excess. Order what I expected to be a shrimp and clam dish with a side of risotto. "Pan seared shrimp, clams, tasso, peas, paella risotto" What I received was a "quick" rice dish with 5 shrimp (slightly overcooked), four clams, and three skinny slivers of tasso- I'm assuming they were attempting a paella. Unfortunately the dish was not cooked in the manner of a normal paella and therefore could not develop the flavors. $32. Hardly worth the price. Risotto should have a creaminess to it, this was an overcooked rice bowl. The kids' food tasted better. Only one waitress for our party. Food runner was more polite and engaging. Water glasses filled on time. Waited on our checks-though she did warn us before the meal it would take longer if we wanted separate checks. Unless others wanted to go here again, I wouldn't bother.
