My wife and I enjoyed a very pleasant, affordable stay in this very clean, renovated classic motel in the heart of the Berkshires. Our large three-window, well-lighted room consisted of two comfortable queen beds, flat-screen TV, two sinks, small refrigerator, and microwave. The motel’s location on US Rte. 7 is close to several good restaurants, homemade candy store, delicious doughnut shop, downtown Great Barrington, and was convenient to several sights on our itinerary which included The Mount (Edith Wharton’s home), the Norman Rockwell Museum & Studio, Monument Mountain hiking trails, Mass. Audubon Pleasant Valley Wildlife Sanctuary, and the Hancock Shaker Village. Our host was very welcoming and accommodating. I highly recommend the Monument Mountain Motel for a wonderful vacation in the Berkshires.More
