Every franchise chain has the potential to be excellent, but it always comes down to the people you hire and this place is a great example. Most fast food restaurants in donaldsonville offer similar experiences - The employees are almost always short with you or outright rude and it is extremely obvious they could care less the quality of the service they offer or product.

You are LUCKY to get the food you ordered 50% of the time, so it is wise to check it before leaving if you stop here. But be prepared to wait 15 minutes + if your order is wrong. Hardly ever do you get fresh food also even if you have to wait. Just a horrible experience and the lack of care from the employees and managers says alot about the franchise itself - the days of caring about customers is long gone, it is only about profit now.

Save your money, eat at home.

Food was good! Staff was friendly, but they charged for BBQ sauce and a cup of ice. I'm not charged for extras like that here in Orlando

If you like spicy deep fried chicken bits or spicy deep fried shrimps, have a quick bite here. Not a fan of deep fried food (too greasy!) but the Louisiana/Cajun spices they use are yum! I would say it is the KFC of Louisiana and way better!
Friendly service.

Popeyes Chicken cannot be beaten that is just a fact! However the restaurant you choose to go to does. This is one of the locations you may think twice about going to if you're in a hurry or you're looking for friendly service. Whether the drive through or the inside of the restaurant they fall short in customer friendliness. I went to the restaurant on a Sunday at 11. There were no other customers and waited at the register for 2:15 seconds and had no greeting or order taken. And yes there were folks behind the counter. Once my order was taken I was told it would be an additional wait of 15 minutes for chicken to be fried. My experience would say if I worked in chicken place on a Sunday I would be hustling and ready as soon as the doors were opened..maybe it is just me. The chicken was good as was the rest of the order.
