I love riding the Greenway trail. The gravel part is shady and cool on a hot day and offers plenty of protection from the sun. And there's nearly always a turtle sighting. The paved portion offers riders and walkers a respite from high traffic areas and a peaceful way to enjoy the outdoors. Many times there are wild turkeys and deer sighted during my travels.
A smooth, paved trail intersects with a hardpacked gravel route at the popular Noble Park, home of the Skate Park. A smooth, paved route atop the city's levy takes users along the entire north side of the city to Schultz Park at the Riverfront, downtown. There it's easy to grab lunch, fresh bakery goods, visit museums, the murals, shop and explore. In the other direction from the park the trail is hard packed gravel, a beautiful wooded route the meanders past the disc golf course to Stuart Nelson Park where, on the other side of picturesque Bob Leeper Bridge, it connects to McCracken County’s 1.5-mile trail hill loop. Off that loop is a one mile mountain bike track. Restrooms are situated in the parks
Excellent path and easy walk through the woods. Crossed a few bridges which the children loved to see creek running beneath. Ended up at skate park which the boys just loved!
