Been previously several years ago & loved it so called in for lunch on our way north. A Saturday & no booking but we got to use a table for 45 minutes before a booking arrived – plenty of time for us & also good value for Fowles. Properly advised that mains might take a bit long as they were busy so we ordered drinks & the Ploughman’s board. Prompt service & very good quality food. Only negative would be that insufficient bread is provided for the cheese, ham & other lovely offerings. Would be 5 star with more bread. Also a nice setting – this time we were inside - & good friendly service.

What a fantastic little winery and cafe. Called in for lunch on a trip from Qld.
Great selection of wines and the lunch menu is well put together and priced reasonably. You can sit inside or out in the courtyard.
Service is attentive and staff well mannered.
There is also a selection of food goods from around the Strathbogie region which will match well with any wines you purchase.
Would thoroughly recommend a vist here and hope to be back myself.

I always stop there for a coffee and their berry muffin...usually as a take away but sometimes have breakfast or brunch. Their wine is good but instead I usually take home some Chardonnay Jam or an assortment of their relishes / chutneys. Always friendly service.

We were travelling from Sydney to Melbourne on the Hume Hwy and googled to see what we could see on our way down. This little gem popped up so we decided to stop for lunch.

Very attentive staff and a fabulous menu was a delight. Coupled with a glass of their chardy and our day was complete.

Have visited twice in the last couple of months, the food is just beautiful & prices reasonable. We have had pork, duck, lamb & eye fillet steak, the meals do not disappoint. It is a great place for Sunday lunch but would recommend making reservation. First time we visited was with another couple celebrating a birthday, we made a reservation & had a lovely lunch. Last time was just the 2 of us, was spur of the moment & just called in, were lucky enough to get a table but had time limit on it, so felt a bit pressured which is fair enough, will definately eat there again but reserve table next time.
