This was the last stay of a 22-day road trip with my best friend Mike (a now-aging Chocolate Lab) and my RV that I dropped in New Hampshire before heading home to Colorado.
Extended Stay America has created a sort of a lodging miracle. It provides a sort of "suite" room environment at very reasonable prices, with a whole host of kitchen items "sanitized" for the COVID environment we're in now, provided to the guest before check-in. For that I paid $62 that included a tiny kitchen and laundry facilities, perfect for my last leg home. To get that price, though, I had to buy the room using a special online marketing program (SnapTravel, in this case, I believe). When doing so, I buy the room using my phone, right at check-in; that's worked reasonably well.
That doesn't mean there aren't catches and downsides. In ESAs there are the occasional ruffian types skulking about; this property was no exception. The desk clerk had no quarters for the laundry; I was lucky to get some from the Casey's General Store across the highway. What pissed me off, though, was that the WIFI service offered this sneaky up-charge for "premium WIFI" ("streaming" etc.) which to me is a bait-and-switch -- ESPECIALLY since when I asked, the desk clerk recommended it because otherwise, "people have complained about slow internet." Sorry, that's just a classic bait-and-switch -- and I told the desk clerk so...This was the last stay of a 22-day road trip with my best friend Mike (a now-aging Chocolate Lab) and my RV that I dropped in New Hampshire before heading home to Colorado.

Sorry, that's just a classic bait-and-switch -- and I told the desk clerk so in suitably road-weary cranky language. $62 now became a lot closer to $70 now. Not so much of a miracle now, is it? Five stars are now four.
Still, using up the last of my eggs and other traveling food, this was really what I needed at as close to the price I wanted to pay as I was going to get. Hope you find this and my other reviews, from this road trip and my many others, helpful to you.More
