Checked in late as I often do, was greeted quickly and efficiently at the front desk.
My room was normal for HIE property, no complaints. Usual nice soft pillows.
I was happy to see they had a real hot breakfast which I haven’t seen a lot of lately.
Plenty of parking, easy to sleep and convenient to get to work only a couple of miles away.

We stayed for one night, as we were passing through the area. The room was a nice size. The bathroom was also a nice size. The room came with a fridge and microwave. However, it did not come with any hand towels or wash clothes.
They had a nice breakfast also. It included cheese omelets, turkey sausage, bagels, cream cheese, Chobani vanilla yogurt, oj, apple juice coffee and milk. They cinnamon rolls were not up to their standards. They were hard and dry. There were no others pastries or anything. I believe they also had cereal, but I don't recall what it was.
Overall, it was average, and if I could get a better price, I might stay again for a night.

A standard of Holiday Inn Express I have come to expect is their breakfast. It is like a guaranteed win. But this particular Holiday Inn Express has restricted access to the breakfast. No pancakes. No biscuits and gravy. NO ORANGE JUICE? These are standard breakfast items at a Holiday Inn Express and yet for some reason, this hotel has limited things using COVID as an excuse. They have a woman runner who gets the limited breakfast items for customers. I booked this room specifically for the breakfast consistency. The lack of these things feels cheap and inexcusable. It’s pathetic and is a smirch on the Holiday Inn Express brand, especially since it seems the rest of the hotel seems to be just fine.

Dirty, says renovated but pretty sure paint over junk is still junk. Old part of town. Not worth the $ . I used my points and immediately regretted my decision upon arrival. Nice staff! Crap hotel. This price point there are better options.
I want to like this hotel. Everything was great except the beds. And that was the only reason we were there...to sleep. I am pretty sure sleeping on the floor would be comparable to the beds. But staff was nice, and the breakfast was great for covid times. They even had someone cooking hot food if you wanted things like eggs and sausage. So that was nice. I really liked that we could get a sleeper sofa and two queens as a family with 3 kids. I just wish the beds had been comfortable. Clean rooms and public areas.

From the moment we entered the lobby, and received a "We will be right with you"... To the morning "Come again" ... We were please with our stay. Tay welcomed us, and we are so glad she is the one training new staff. She is fun, a great sense of humor, and very customer oriented. The room was large, clean, comfortable. The policies in place for Covid times are reasonable. We will come again!
