I stayed here with my friend, for reading festival, from start to finish this place was exceptional.
Warm welcome, room was superb with everything you could want, alma helped us to our room, offered cake and bought us fresh milk for our tea or coffee in the room.
Assistance in how to get to the festival and Brian kindly picked us up, which was greatly appreciated!
Breakfast was delicious, we felt comfortable and were made to feel at home.
Then helped to our car with a wave goodbye as we pulled away.

Overall 5 stars, lovely accommodation topped off with excellent service.
Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Thank you Alma & Brian!

We stayed here last night, and we really cannot fault it at all! Brian and Alma go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need. They really have paid attention to every detail, nothing has been forgotten. Usually when you stay in B & B's there are some small niggles.....you don't have enough coat hangers, there isn't a mirror near to where you plug in the hairdryer, no where to put your bags etc etc. None of that here...they have covered it all, and more!
The rooms are beautifully furnished and immaculately clean. Everything is of a very high standard.
Brian even very kindly took us to, and picked us up from, a wedding, and to top it all off, we had a slice of Alma's delicious lemon cake waiting for us when we got back.
Thank you so much Brian and Alma for working so hard to make our stay so pleasant. We wish you both the very best for the future.

A nice bijou Bed & Breakfast which is comfortable and has a modern finish.
It comes with a Continental breakfast, the host kindly offered to cook us eggs to go with our toast after noticing my husband had not eaten a lot.
The decor is of a high standard, the current owners add a lot of extras that you would not expect.
We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

We received a very warm welcome from Brian and Alma on our arrival, with the immediate offer of tea / coffee and home-made cake.

The B&B was clean and tidy throughout, our room was very well equipped with a coffee maker (real coffee!), biscuit & fruit snacks, slippers & robes and there was an abundance of provisions in the bathroom (shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes and loads more - even flannels).

More importantly, nothing was too much trouble for our hosts - this lovely couple epitomise customer service at its very best. Brian very kindly offered to drive us to and from the birthday party we were attending in a neighbouring village.

Brian and Alma have given so much thought to the needs of their guests and this is more than evident in the fine detail they exact in the provisions for and high standards of the rooms and their approach to their clients - they ensure that you have the most enjoyable and relaxing stay at The Cricketers.

Breakfast was a real joy - Alma's home-cooked ham, a selection of complimentary cheeses, fruit, yoghurts, a comprehensive choice of breakfast cereals and a delicious range of home-made jams to spread on your toast - absolutely lovely.

If you are travelling to this end of the world and want a hotel rating plus stay then The Cricketers is the place to go.

It was a real pleasure to have stayed overnight at this wonderful B&B where your hosts Brian & Alma take great care of you. Set just 5 minutes from the M4 motorway along the Basingstoke Road in quiet area called Spencers Wood making it very accessible for Heathrow & the west of London. We received a delightful welcome on arrival and were treated to a cup of tea and a lovely piece of homemade cherry cake. We had a nice before being shown to our room upstairs. The room it self looks very modern and spotlessly clean. The double bed is at one end you then have the dressing table which is also where your supplied with tea & coffee making facilities plus fruit & snacks before moving into the bathroom where you have a double sized walk in shower , large sink & toilet. After a pleasant nights rest it was time for breakfast with the table laid out as if you were in a restaurant. The breakfast was a delight as well as there's plenty of fruit , cereal , homemade jam , toast , ham & a selection of great local cheeses Its definetly a place I would recommend as it's location is great and your hosts will go out of their way in making your stay a pleasure which ours certainly was
