This place is convenient off I35/80
It is impeccably kept inside and out
Facilities are exactly what you see in photos
Room was comfortable beds were soft for us personally
We had room that faced highway & there was some noice but muffled.
Hot tub and pool area was clean
Breakfast was predictable but adequate . All staff was friendly and helpful. We will come back More

The staff was amazingly accommodating! After an eventful day pulling a travel trailer that had tire blowouts, we pulled in after midnight. Dave Y. At the front desk was very kind and welcoming! After our long day, he went out of his way to help us settle in for the night!! Will definitely return!

Gotta give a shout out to Will who checked me in and gave me an upgrade cause of the Bonvoy status! After I left my wallet in a colleagues car Assistant Manager Emily and the exquisite Cate gave me the TLC I needed to get my life back in order until I got my wallet back. TownPlace Suites Urbandale/Des Moines
We stayed at the TownPlace Suites for the first time in early January 2020. They accommodated our requests for an early check in and a quiet room on an upper floor.
We were checked in by Will who politely explained the amenities including the schedule for breakfast and the pool. Will is a nice mix of friendly and professional.
We reserved a studio king room which turned out to have a lot of storage. The room is cleverly designed to fit in a full kitchen, sleeper sofa, and an extra large closet with doors opening onto the entry and also onto the spacious bathroom.
The hotel is between Urbandale and Johnston off of 86th street, just north of I-35/I-80, so it is easy to get around. The hotel is also very close to several restaurants, shopping, grocery stores, and a movie theater. We walked to Wasabi for the ramen noodles.
The staff are polite and very interested in making the hotel a pleasant place to stay. We got the impression that they take customer feedback seriously and strive to keep improving. I left behind a bag of makeup, and the assistant manager Selena went out of her way to return it to me.
Not every hotel stay is going to be perfect, but if you share a concern with the staff, it is our impression that they will work hard to resolve any issues. We look forward to staying at the TownPlace Suites again.

Our family stays in the Urbandale, IA area twice a year and we ALWAYS stay at the Towneplace Suites Des Moines Urbandale. We have always found the staff to be friendly and accommodating, the rooms and property to be really clean, the atmosphere to be very pleasant, and the rates to be reasonable. Our stay over Christmas has exceeded out expectations. When we arrived late at night after a long travel day we were greeted so pleasantly by Dave and Seng. They were very efficient and super sweet to our children which I always appreciate. Each morning Connor did a wonderful job setting up for breakfast and was super accommodating to our children when we overslept and missed breakfast by a few minutes one morning. Will is always so pleasant and always offers advice on where to find the cheapest gas prices. Each visit I feel compelled to tell Andy, the General Manager, how impressed we are with the staff and how much we enjoy staying at this particular Towneplace Suites.

I stayed here for one night in June 2019 for my best friend's birthday. We had a suite which was perfect for the four of us who were celebrating. It was a great temporary living space for us to get ready for a night out on the town and to play some games. The next morning breakfast was delicious and the staff who checked us out were very kind and asked us if our stay was great...and it was!!
