My family stayed at this Super 8 for 3 nights recently while attending the Madison County Covered Bridge Festival. Location OK and this is a newer property, but the rooms are quite small compared to other Super 8's and they don't seem to have enough housekeeping staff. The motel was pretty full when we were there - a lot of railroad workers frequently stay there, and a few other events were going on locally. The cleaning people start pounding on doors by about 7 a.m., wanting to get in to clean. On the third day of our stay we left for the day at about 9:00 a.m. and when we returned at about 9:00 p.m. discovered that our room had not been cleaned. At that late hour no housekeeping people were there and we were left with piles of wet towels, overflowing wastebaskets, no toiletries or cups or coffee. Front desk person not particularly helpful in working with us to get what we needed, did not offer to bring us what we needed, we had to go back and forth ourselves several times between our room and the front desk, schlepping towels, trash etc. The next morning when we checked out I asked for a discounted rate for the last night of our stay since they didn't provide us with a clean room. Was told that the person who could authorize that was not there, but that they would take care it. When I got home and checked my account, I discovered that no adjustment had been made and they charged us the full amount even though they'd agreed to discount the last night. Not at all happy with the service or the attitude of the staff. We frequently stay at Super 8's and this is the first time I've had a problem. Some adjustments need to be made at this location in terms of staffing and attitudes.
