Decided to spend one night here for my anniversary with the significant other. Figured we’d have a nice room and go out to dinner and then swim in the pool after. If I had known my experience would be like this, I would have gone somewhere else. The gal at the front desk was not friendly at all when I checked in. You could tell she hated her job. She didn’t seem to want to help me, questioned my ID, and mumbled a lot. I had to wait for my boyfriend to arrive so we could check in together. As I was waiting, another person came to check in. She was a lot friendlier to him than she was to me. I’m not sure if she had some kind of judgement against me, but either way, very unprofessional. She also kept having this constant cough which made me question if she should even be working around people at that moment (Covid time). To add to our experience, our room had no pens or paper, only two towels, and two pillows. The rooms could definitely use an update considering the lobby was recently updated. They have old carpet, old furniture, and there was a bit of a musty smell. Mind you, this was one of the “nicer” king suites. Of course the carpet was stained in areas. The bathroom walls showed spots of repairs that hadn’t been correctly covered/finished. The shower did not look like it had been cleaned anytime recently. It seemed to have a line of mildew along the edges of the floor. All in all, I probably would have given a higher rating if my check in experience had been better.
