Our stay at the Sofitel was wonderful. Beautiful hotel, clean comfortable rooms and a great location. Easily walk to most of the highlights Chicago has to offer. Staff is courteous and friendly. Le Bar is classy and great for sitting by the window and people watching. The views from the room are spectacular. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

The room was gorgeous. A bit of inconsistency upon check in. We were told one thing, our friends told something completely different and we came on the same Travelzoo promotion. Service in the breakfast area bordered on ridiculous. Food was tasty but overly priced. I would come back again however.

This was the best experience my family and I have ever had. From the moment we checked in we were treated as though we were the only guests at this hotel. Every single member of the staff was welcoming, interested in us, engaging, constantly asking if we needed anything, asked about our day and just genuinely cared. We especially would like to thank Orlando for taking the time to fist bump our son, Parfait who constantly asked about our day, and listened to our son's jokes and genuinely laughed at them, pastry chef Tim, who surprised us with a chocolate Lightning McQueen when we got to our room, Daniella and Marty at the front desk, and the concierge Osbaldo, who helped making our experience at the Sofitel one we will never forget. I'm sure I am forgetting some folks, but thank you to everyone for making our short trip one we will remember for years to come. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Chicago!!!

This place gets everything right. Lots of outlets and lights, easy to use room, stylish without being annoying. And the location is perfect: short walk to lake, plenty of eating options, and a very walkable neighborhood.

We always come back to this property in Chicago and are generally very pleased with Sofitel run hotels. This one in Chicago is magnificent. Spotless and welcoming, comfortable rooms, great bar and breakfast. The staff are knowledgeable, polished and very friendly. Ozlem at the front desk treated us like family. Very helpful, welcoming and so sharp. It’s a refreshing pleasure to be greeted by a staff member that is so eager to make you feel comfortable. The decor and flowers in the lobby are also beautiful. Excellent central location with so many great places to eat and visit nearby.
