This is a very pretty zoo and it is free! (However, we had to pay $35 to park.) We saw pink flamingos, red pandas, African penguins. There is nothing really out of the ordinary at this zoo, but it is nicely done and taken care of. It's in a safe neighborhood and LOTS of people there over Memorial Day weekend. They also have lots of water fountains as to not force you into purchasing their $5 bottles of water and nice picnic areas so you can bring your own food and have a family picnic there. They also have some different exhibitions and feeding times that you can go watch, but we did not participate in any of them so I cannot review. I highly recommend.

It was a nice visit to the zoo. For being a free zoo - there were many animals to see and it was very clean. We all enjoyed our time.

Visited the zoo this past weekend. It was a 20 minute walk from the Sedgwick brown line station. Very clean neighborhood. The zoo was great, we couldn’t believe it was free. We loved the monkeys and the bird house. Would definitely go back when visiting Chicago

The Zoo was extremely beautiful, it’s a huge place filled With nice attractions. The quality of the place it’s super even though it’s free. Parking could be a problem especially on high season. I would suggest taking public transportation.

Beautiful green space. Wow free since everything in Chicago is ridiculously priced. Enjoyed. It was too warm. Lots of animals were sleeping although we got there early. Spent three hours totally enjoyed.
