This museum is one of my favorites in Chicago. My friend's family and I could taste a variety of arts over the world.
We were in the museum for 4 hrs and we still didn't see everything. It was so large that we had to choose our favorite.
We went on a cloudy Sunday and the crowds were not too bad. We were disappointed that there were no tours in the afternoon so get there before 12 if you want a tour. Amazing collection of art work from all types. I did find the building super confusing to get around. The outdoor is cafe is nice break for all that exploring.
I have been here twice with people who appreciate art. The first time was when there was an exhibit for Van Gogh's Bedroom. If you understand art and appreciate works of different forms, you will love it.
In your visit to Chicago, you can not miss this one. An amazing art collection which goes from the Ancient Greece to now a days art.
One room most impressive than the other, from American to European, from classic to contemporary this museum is a must !
If you like Picasso, Monet, Cezzane, Van Gogh, Seurat, and a lot of artist which masterpieces are in museums all around the world, you will feel glad to give from 3 to 5 hours of your day visiting this art complex.
Then a walk in the park to see Frank Ghery's auditorium and Anish Kapoor famous Bean !
