Firstly I would say that given the price of this stay I would thoroughly recommend this hotel for the location alone. It is but a short walk to the vaporetto stop at Santa Maria Elisabetta. The lido is a wonderful base. Cheaper food, a supermarket round the corner from the hotel and lovely bars and a beach to walk on.
The hotel itself is quite small, set back from the road down a quiet lane. It has a lovely little garden and clean rooms with showers. For a short stay I’d say it’s ideal.
Breakfast is ok. Croissants and coffee with the option of ham and cheese rolls. The coffee is from one of those mysterious machines, as is the fruit juice. Perfectly adequate however.
My single room was small but workable. The fridge was ok for fruit juice and prosecco. It’s true the TV didn’t work at all but who cones to Venice to watch tv?
The staff were, it is true, a little perfunctory, but again, more than adequate.
Overall I enjoyed the experience and would go back again. More
