I stayed at Airai Water Paradise Hotel during the COVID pandemic. It is still an unforgettable experience to travel to Palau at 2021. The employee shortage resulted in the closure to most of the restaurants and shops on the island; you won't have choices of the meals even in the hotel's restaurant. Please try to visit Palau after the pandemic.

Renovated hotel with Greta pool and water sliddes. The free shuttle bus to downtown is great. Huge food portions kind staff. For this price I don't think you can find any better hotel. We tried 3 hotels in 3 weeks and this was by far the best price for money especially with kids.
So we arrived late night reception people welcomed us with warm smile when we check in,went straight to the hotel bar too bad only open until 10pm but staffs are nice and still accomodate us even when they are about to close (thank you guys).Rooms were fine,amenities..etc.Water slides / Pool are super fun! All is well except for this one John DOE which later found out that the HR of that hotel.She’s bit of annoying, arrogant and rude.No customer Service skills you work in hotel industry and you should master the customer service pros and cons.You prolly know how to deal with your guest but havent recieve even single smile from you.Better stay in your office because you’re kind of unpleasant sight in your hotel.Pardon but all true.YAJO!
Took the kids out there to enjoy the water park... they only offer a package deal..4/$70 and it's supposed to include admission to water park,chips,pizza, and iced tea for 4 people. The pizza was the frozen kind you sold get from the frozen section of a grocery store... pretty yucky! And their customer service is lacking at best... did not see any local staff... won't be going there anytime ever.
We stayed on the third floor.Hotel room is outdated.But tolerable.Near the airport and cater free shuttle for going to Airport.What I just notice even if the staff are quite nice but most of them are not wearing a name plate.Name Plate is the important and primary uniform of every employee when you are in a customer Service industry.So first night we are trying to complain about the coacroach im our room but their people is very late when come.We call the reception and told us that somebody well come to check but nobody come and we follow up the next morning to the lady in reception and thank you because Final ky somebody came to out room to get rid the cockroaches.Food is fine.Swimming Pool is awesome.nice hotel but Need some renovation.
Luck does turning around! We got badly cancelled by Airbnb and last minute was able to catch rooms in this airai water paradise island
