Positives- beautiful place and surroundings, go for a tour around the hotel and you can see into the jungles behind and all the wildlife. Our villa was gorgeous too. I loved how natural it felt and how close to nature I was. The fish pools were empty but they were cleaning them out and slowly filling them back out near the end of our visit. The quality of food was outstanding.
The staff were friendly and very professional, nothing was too much to ask for, especially the pool man, he went out of his way to keep the kids entertained in the pool through out the day. He even put the lights and fountains on for us one day and evening and every morning got our towels out ready for us. They had a function and they decorated the outside and it was stunning. Air con and wifi worked brilliantly no issues and the tv provided lots of channels. I had no issues with my shower in my room and once my parents realised they had to turn the switch on for hot water they no longer had issues either- five of us having showers one after the other every evening so plenty of water. You can rent bikes for all ages to go around the resort and they do massages to (didn't get to experience the massages though but heard they were fantastic!)
Negatives- safes all same code for every one in resort, we was the only ones here but if it's busy I don't think it's great idea if everybody has same number to open it. Also they are not bolted down so anybody can take them.
Sun beds- only six put out by the pool, not sure if any more are available if it becomes more busy.
Separate dining area- massive function one evening and we was not allowed to eat in the restaurant, we were told we could order room service at 4pm and they bring it or we go out for dinner.
Don't serve alcohol like most resorts but they will call you a taxi/tuctuc and take you to a alcohol parlor where you can buy alcohol.
Length of time for food but I think it's due to the fact it is made from scratch and we was the only family here, the quality of the food made up for the wait time but if you are expecting a quick breakfast or dinner don't eat here. One night we pre booked our meal and arranged for it to have it for 630 and it arrived at 8pm.
When we first arrived we booked two double rooms but when we went to look they was nothing like the pictures had advertised we were told we had booked one double but we was a family of three adults and two children, they said they could move another bed into the room but this would no way worked at all, so we was told we can stay in a villa till Monday as the hotel was fully booked (it was late and we had lost our baggage and just wanted to go to bed) so we decided to speak to the manager who said we can stay in a villa the whole stay and gave us discount. Glad we did because like I said no one else was at the resort apart from the odd one or two on the weekend.
Expect the usual thunderstorms and power cuts but they do have back ups for this.
I will still stay here again just because the staff were brilliant and very professional at all times, the resort was one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed in and the food was off very good quality. A perfect getaway for a chilled out week.
