It seems like these days that hotels don't much care any more about how they present themselves to customers - either employee attitude, physical condition of room, features or whatever. Seems like this is especially true at Marriott properties and my experience at 20+ separate stays in the last four months has borne that out. But this place turned out to be perfect.
We generally stay at Fairfield, Courtyard and sometimes, Marriott, Sheraton or Westin if we get a deal but haven't stayed but once at a Springfield in a long time.
Our stay started off perfectly with a wonderfully friendly front desk clerk That's my first criteria at any hotel - are they grumpy, should be in another job people, to curt and business-like to smile and make us feel like we are welcome. friendly too a point or just so nice and helpful, they feel like family? This one was great!
Next is room condition. Why is it so any places have things that don't work, insufficient outlets, little things wrong in the corner (or big ones in the middle of the place), etc? Not here.Everything was perfect.
Some places just don't address questions. They did!
Some places have one friendly face.
