A very nice hotel near the mall of Georgia. The room was spacious, clean, and well appointed. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Plenty of restayrants within walking or driving distance.

PROS:
Great location
Friendly staff
Clean, fresh scented "lobby"

CONS:
Strong Musky odor upon entrance into the guestroom (2nd floor)
Mold around door of refrigerator
Mold on shower liner and tub
Dingy, dirty, stained tub

Had a few issues with the room immediately upon arrival. There was mold on the refrigerator, in the tub and shower curtain liner. The room also wreaked of musk upon entrance. My husband contacted the front desk and they said they would send someone to clean the areas. We left for an hour, only to return to mold still in the aforementioned areas and someone's hairs in the tub. The only thing updated/corrected was the shower curtain. They removed the molded one and replaced it with a non-molded one.

We were livid about the tub still being neglected and once again reported the issue. Shout out to Shannon! She moved us to a much better room with a Pure system. According to her, the Pure room included an air and water filtration system and provided better sleep quality. We decided to accept this room before leaving the hotel as a last resort.

Upon entrance into our PURE room, there was no musky odor, no mold in the tub/bathroom and everything else seemed in order. Once we changed rooms, the rest of our stay went well. We only tried the breakfast one day during our stay and it was decent. My husband enjoyed the blueberry pancakes.

This hotel is in a super location: however, the rooms are very dated. Ours smelled super musty and a couple of the electric sockets were falling off the walls. It’s just looking tired. There are plenty of restaurant options very close by.

We had a discrepancy in our bill on the first day. Called directly to the front desk where no one could help me and I was told to talk to the manager on check out. On that day, no help at all. I had to call five times after we checked out to get an answer as to charges on my account that I did not make and finally 14 days later it was refunded to my account. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!.

Our "neighbors" came in around 2 am both nights and played loud music. No help from the front desk. I feel like these were people who worked there and used the hotel as their "after party" spot.

I am a avid traveler and use Marriott for the majority of those. This is a crappy Marriott! Don't stay here. All other Marriotts in the area were full when I made this reservation or I would have stayed with one of the higher ranked ones. Go elsewhere if that happens to you!

I would like to apologize for the inconvenience regarding your stay with us and also the inconvenience with your bill and the amount of time it took to explain to you the reason for your payment being held. When a guest checks in and uses a debit/credit card the funds are being held for incidentals per night. When the guest checks out that same night the funds are released from our system immediately after which your financial establishment will have to release from their end as well which could take up to 5 to 7 business days. I am quite surprised that it took 14 days for your funds to be released nonetheless I am sorry for the troubles and the inconvenience. When you are in town again please give us another opportunity to serve you and make it right for you. Once again we do appreciate you staying with us at the Springhill Suites Buford/Mall of GA.

The hotel is fine but dated. It needs an update. The rooms are old and felt a bit creepy. The location is fine, it's across from the mall. You can walk to a few restaurants as well. I would not really want to stay here again. You could hear noise outside, there was no view. I also had a bunch of random hairs in the shower.
