Price Fixe menu - $60 per person for meals before tax or tip or drinks.
It was recommended by friends and there were 6 of us.
Service was excellent, ambiance was fair.
Bathrooms were in need of service and didn't fit what I would have expected.
Chipped places in the sink, plastic covered sink that didn't work.
Again, we are practical eaters and enjoy good food, but we not "foodies".
This place seemed highly overrated for their food.
As for our food:
Mushroom and Torte -highly spice, lacking real natural taste.
Waterkist BLT salad - Wonderful! this was great.
Sausage - very good.
Harissa Rubbed fresh fish - THis was flounder in our case, and all the taste relied on the Harissa spice. Bonefish grill does better.
Filet Mignon - Steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The potatoes were oddly seasoned and not to our taste.
Duck breast - cooked appropriately (medium), but has absolutely zero taste in the duck. The blackberry glaze was missing and Gnocchi Ricotta was chewy.
Desserts:
Creme brulee - very tasty and very small. Typical brule you can get anywhere.
mascarpone CheeseCake - extremely tasty but extremely dense to cut through.
Also, ironically, we waited in the tasting room which boasted of being able to fix just about and drink you would want. Well, except for anything with lemonade, apparently...
