I am renting here right now for the 4th of July. And just as stated above... People that are not staying here come over in golf carts and take over parking lots that are designated for the renters... But that's not the problem.... My father is in his late 70's and parks in the handicap... Due to the 8 golf carts and the truck that are not staying at the resort are blocking both handicap locations! The police had to come to remove the golf carts and give tickets to the illegally parked vehicles.. I was born and raised in South Florida and have been going to the keys for years! And for the amount of money we paid could have stayed in a much much better location!
I will never stay here again and will tell everyone I know do the same... I am local so this word of mouth will be doing something about it! I don't ever write any reviews but this has been the worst experience ever staying in the keys and that is hard to say because I love the Florida keys! The only positive is the office manager who is very professional and polite and has been trying to accommodate and handled the situation to the best of his ability, but he is only an employee and his hands are tied..
Concerning the rooms, need to be remodeled asap... I would send pictures but I am embarrassed at the state they are in! It's like staying in a third world country! Update: had to check out on the 3rd day because water started coming from the wall located in the back of the kitchen .. all over the floor.
Luckily we were able to find vacancy nearby and it's night and day difference! The only thing holding the place together is the very professional and polite front office Manager Yurek...!

Our room was sold as an efficiency, but there were no appliances in the room. There were no outlets, lamps with no bulbs and the bathroom was barely 5x6 in size. The bedroom size was barely manageable, but it had a great view! Expenisive place to stay with no breakfast included.

This is definitely a fishing lodge and has been around a long time. We stayed in an efficiency, opening on to the little beach area with great sunset views . The beds were good. The shower was minimal. The bedside lamp would not work and we found the bulb to be shattered. The young man at the office said he would try to find a replacement and eventually did. The curtain on the sliding glass door was about to fall down. The inside top of the microwave was encrusted with old food. The BBQ food truck was not open. We definitely would not stay here again nor would we recommend it to anyone.
